Point walter east , aka Snidesville

determined to get out for a sail this weekend, dragged myself out of bed this morning and got down to the river to find a couple of friendly faces already there, Darryl and JJ were checking out the new toy Darryl's new AFS 105 foil, quite an impressive bit of kit if I do say so myself

However as is the way with these things the new kit was most surely keeping the wind away with barely a puff over 8 knots to be seen

Luckily I had anticipated the dismal conditions and packed the car with a desperation option

rigged the reflex 6, 10.0m and put the starboard race foil in my JP 135 (which was quite uncomfortable and hard to control for much of the session due to the foot straps being setup a long way aft for my NP F4 foil)

this combo however was powerfull enough to have me up flying around fairly easilly nearly all the time which was pretty special for a day that was predominently 6 to 8 knots

amazed I could still do foiling gybes with the 10 but the combo was hard work because it was unbalanced and so I could't manage a longer sail

still good fun none the less, managed some show boating for snides drone and some drag racing with Darryl on his new foil

So all up got my fix and feeling better for it glad I got out of bed Smile

Well done, Sean. Foiling is the only way to go for autumn in Perth
