Vonpat (2886km): Mallacoota, VIC, AU Well i was happy today to watch Daffy be the first person to hit fourty knots at Goodwin Sands today, he is bloody quick for an old fella. Issac couldnt make it due to work commitments which cost him the honour of being the first to hit the elusive 40knts. Cold , windy and fun JP 94ltr and a KA 5.7mtr which was a bit over done in the gusts. Hope more Pit crew can join us tommorow for more cold, windy fun. | ||||||||||||||||||
Sailquik (29582km): Mallacoota. vic Nice seesion on Goodwin sands. Wind angle just a little square for best speeds so had to head out into the chop. Cant run the bank in the East end now due to 'blowouts', shallow spots, but the west end is great. Big thanks to Vopat for the luxury transport and putting me up for the night. The wind was a but up and down with gusts, and I was a bit underpowered except in the big gusts. Lots of 39's before I finally cracked a 40. Wind measured 20-25 but there were occasional gusts to 30. In the end it died back to 15-20 and I could not sail anymore on that gear. Most of the day it was pretty much dead SW. Board, CA40, Fin, Tribal 18cm, Sail 2018 KA Koncept 5.0m GPS: GW60
