Expensive day today....
- Newish Vmax 4.0 fin destroyed on the rocks behind the red pole which everyone delighted in telling me was a no-go-zone.... Check
- Old harness lines just as I was distinctly thinking... I don't want to sheet out so I'll just sit harder into the harness... Check
- Blisters on 3 fingers and at least 2 each on both palms... Check
Boards, fine. Sail, fine... so all the expensive parts survived a wild southerly/westerly out there today. Early on the chop was intense, but as the tide turned out, the swell dropped to 1/3 and was more manageable.
Severne 5.5 was probably the right size (on average).
Naish speed 60 was (some would say obviously) too small at some times, but fun at others.
Felt good on a 28cm Vector Fin
iSonic 90L felt positively HUGE after the 60!
Going to miss my Select 33cm!!!!
All up a fairly good day considering the conditions.
Top speed between the swell lines heading towards the broken fin zone... after racing a speed boat :)
