Melville Beach, WA, AU Not much time today for travel so stayed local. Really difficult condions for the 6.6 as some strong storm fronts hit just after I rigged up. Did a lot of floating. Wind shifted and looked to clean up at bit as I was leaving, be interesting to hear stories form other locations. Boz looked like he got some nice runs. 97/27/6.6

Jeeze that was interesting, chop everywhere some massive gusts coming through had to sail out of the harness on a couple of the massive bullets. How differant the wind direction makes for the water conditions, couldn't find any today and the one day I don't take all my gear is when I could have done with the 5.5 KAR, still the 6.3 was okay in the lulls but way over in the gusts. Jase did well on the 6.6 how I don't know as I was over the limits on the 6.3. No damage today but tired from yesterdays sesion.

Quick sesh at Melville in pretty gnarly conditions.  Gusts over 30K and ugly chop, so it wasn't a day for distance!

M112 + 6.6 TR7 + 33 CL SL2.

Had a big catapult early which knocked the wind out of me and dented my confidence a bit, but no damage, so all good.

WindTech 64 , Ka Race 6.3 , 29 cm winged fin.

This was a challenging session. The chop off Peli was all over the place. Tough to get any clean runs with plus 30 bullets from nowhere and gusty.

Took a blast up to Pt Walter but even gustier with less wind. So back to Peli then it dropped off.

Solid 25-30 knots, 1 to 2.30pm.

Amazing how the 114L (which is a big board for me) is still so controllable and therefore fun Laughing

Arrives early and left soon after. When I arrived the wind was dropping so rigged the 7.0, but before I put the wettie on the wind started picing up again so switched to the 6.2. Before I had that ready a 40kn squall came through, so after sitting that out I changed to the 5.4. So if nothing else was achieved I made sure I could rig all my sails.

Thanks Anita. Pretty wild at times. There was chop on the chop. Did you get out?

PS Jon, the 64 is 112 l.....unless yours has grown.   Laughing
