Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Light wind desperado sail with Freddo.  Had a look through Freddo's binoculars and saw some white caps out wide...  So decided to rig up and give it a whirl.

Had to dredge out quite some distance before getting up on the plane.

The sun was out, the birds were chirping, the water was as clear as I've seen for quite some time and it was reasonably calm.  Only thing missing was just a few more knots of wind...  Tried to get as much as I could out of today's sesh, left reasonably content.  Used 135 Exocet Speed Slider 7.8 Severne OD 47.5 BP fin.

Freddo seemed to have a little bit of fun also getting a few runs in.

Will be on the plane much longer as from early tomorrow morning en route to Mexico! Laughing

Best wishes to all competitors and spectators at the GI Nats this year!!

Holloways with Benny before he departs for Mexico. Looked like there was some wind out wide so decided to rig up.

As we made out way out the wind aways appeared 100 meters ahead of us so we kept dredging out further aways thinking

the other was going to turn soon.....anyway I decided to turn and no sooner had I turned Benny turned (about 5 k's out)

within ten minutes I was able to catch a gust that enabled me to get within a hundered metres of the shore...at the car.

Decided to wash the gear and look for Benny who was still on the horizon...he was soon up and going and turned once he was near the beach.

The wind was in a little or so I thought....grabbed the gear and went out again....was a little better  but nothing to write home about.

Just the one run out and back on the gps.

117 ISONIC,7.2 KOYOTE,44 STING.....I think
