Canton Beach, NSW, AU 12-24kt SW || Exocet RS4/RS6, 6.2OD/8.4TR, 30 MUF/38 Demon

For an inconsistant SWer, things turned out well, but only after an initial struggle.... Got there and it looked pretty solid, so rigged the 6.2, only to be skunked immediately by a mega lull. Went for 8.4, but then (ofcourse!) was blown off the water within 2 minutes .  Things changed quickly after that though. Straight back on the 6.2 (which I'd left rigged and on the beach) for an hour of nicely powered, then when it backed off the 8.4 served well for a bonus hour.

Played around with boom height on the 6.2 with some degree of suceess. Met and had a chat with Bruce H.

Looks like the Canmore might be doing its funny thing again with Alphas :-( Maybe it's time for a new brand of GPS device. Any suggestions? Ideally one which I can fit in a water proof pouch which then goes in the back pocket of the drink vest.
