Boggy Lake, SA, AU. Boggy was meant to be a W, but was NW :(. It was very choppy and there was no escape from it !. At least with a W, the inside/launch point is flat and the wind line is close. So (at least) good inside gybes can be had. Not so today. Forecast 15-20 W. Reality: 15-30 NW.

First few runs on the JP 109 Supersport. My ankles blew out in the chop :(. Put on my new 2nd hand board (Patrik92, 24cm Clockwood speedweed, Ezzy Cheetah 5.5 - Boombuster's old board). Very flighty board. I had a few runs then came back in. Put the mast track far forward, and then depowered sail as much as I could. Much better, but sail wasn't talking to board :(. Raised boom by 15mm, Boom. fixed !. This board is a sweet gybing board too. I can really rail it, even through Boggy's murder chop. The board/fin also trucks up wind and I can point deep downwind too. It's amasing. The only negative is the footstraps. They twist around (like all non-JP boards IMO), so foot doesn't feel supported and can get caught. Being a JP man, I don't know how sailors put up with this. It became so annoying, I stopped my session half way through. I ordered some JP foot straps tonight. See pics below
