5-23kts NNE Wallis Lake, NSW, AURS4 ( 111ltre)- 43cm makani weedy

then 7.5m GT turbo -RS4 - 43

Well I feel like I wasted today. 7m at first and the gusts were good but too many lulls so after an 1.30hr odd came in and put the big 7.5m on...yeah...Undecided It had really kicked in ( Andrew was really powered on his 7m).. Survived ok even tried some reaching, sail cranked over and crouched down to stop tthe gusts throwing me over the front. Would have been fun on smaller gear.. Hit a thick weedberg and slow mo catapult into the sail.

It was fun but could have been much better on the 87 and 6.2m...thought about going back out but thought it would die.. still howling now at 8pm!

 Hopefully smaller gear tomorrow.

Bit more from yesterday..For some reason if I try and add extra the post comes up as gobblygook..Hope the site hasn't been hacked..Could be the map..it posted itself?

Anyway..think I've been spoilt using pointers as the board felt glued to the water..When you got wind it was pretty solid near the flats just patchy getting out due to side offshore direction. Got the 2sec on the 7m..not a bad speed for me on that combo..Anything over 25kts is pretty good Smile

Very shallow. The sand bar at the launch was totally exposed and the weedbeds also although I learnt after a couple of emergency stops that it was actually waist deep over there..

Pretty flat this side of the weedbeds only small chop .

If it's the same today I think I might save some energy for later today..already blowing as I have breakfast!Surprised

Maree and Mark, Dezza, Ian ,Rick, Bruce ,Chris and Gabe ,later Andrew and Byron the late comer got the best of it..sorry if I  missed anyone.
