Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Quick test ride on the Slingshot Infinity 2019 foil, thanks to Dave at "kite and Sup" and Tibor

This foil has an incredible amount of lift. There is no transitional zone between not planing and flying. Incredibly stable once up, easy to keep it level after only a few runs. Perhaps it has too much lift? But more likely the problem is that it is so different to the Neil Pryde were I am constantly trying to generate lift, that I have not learnt the required skills to control too much lift.

12-18kts ENE - NE Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level .46

7m M1OD - Rs4 ( 111ltre) - 24FF for the hr

then 87ltre Iso - 21.5cm FF ( cutdown 24cm)

I'm stoked..I didn't think I had it in me today.I was really jetlagged from Wallis lakes..Frown I wanted to do an hr but thought I'd clag after 15mins.

I used the big board to get through the lulls and ended up doing 1.20hrs non stop as the first 20mins was patchy and I was off the plane a bit.

Only one or 2 bearaways it was all about the hr and gybing practise today. My gybes have been pretty average in the chop so I figured I needed a Budgy refresher course..Laughing Nothing brilliant but I didn't drop one gybe in 2.30hrs and started to get my heads around finetuning them..

I love Budgy a bit deeper. being able to use some decent depth fins for once made evreything so much more enjoyable. I had a few tugs as I went through

the biggest weedbergs and hit one exiting a gybe so I then got up above the worse.

NSW - PB & PB hr for Budgy. The first time I've tried for an hr since LG. Shortish runs and plenty of gybes plus on the big slow board so I'm a bit surprised it's that good..Cool

Tried for a nm at the end in the 'chop"..figured it would include a gybe and it did..One day I'll learn how to get one in one go..Undecided

Pugs, Paul , Gary , Phil from Qld , Milsy , Pete and assorted others..A great session..Tongue out I'll have to use the big board more often in marginal conditions.

well done Sue, nice consistent sailing to get that 1hr and a tidy alpha too.   RS4 is a really sweet gybing board.
