Coal Point, NSW, AU. 5.6 Hucker Naish 110. It was ONNN at Coalie this arvo. One of my most satisying sails EVER. Just nice ramps in both directions. Solid 15-20 Knots, just perfect for this combo. Spent alot of time fin walking. Altime classic sail. Sadly all by myself, my local sailing buddy dicovered the danger of sumberged foils, mend quickly Andy. Oh by the way, how can my 2 second peak be slower than one of my 5 X 10 entries???

15-25kts SSW Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - level 0.5 so choppy!

6.2m OD - 80ltre iso- 20cm FF then 21.5cm FF ( cutdown 24)

Well I didn't enjoy the first 2/3rds of the session. It was a bit patchy for the 80ltre and I haven't used the 20cm FF for a long time and had it spinout a bit. I think it needs a bit of speed to work and doesn't like dredging amongst the weedbergs..I lost confidence and wasn't going for it at first but started to get my act together after a while..needed a bit more finesse..

I wasn't happy with my upwind and decided to go in and get the 87ltre with a the bigger fin..Got in and it seemed to have kicked in so back out with the same combo..still not happy with my upwind.I wanted to get upwind to get into stronger wind and out of the weedbergs...

Back in and put the thicker foil cutdown 24 on.. Wow! Fun! Felt like a pointer and I could really go for it.

Starting to really have a ball but my right forearm was screaming so I came in. Went for a nm ..I didn't think it would be long enough so threw a gybe in ( not one of my best )..Got the 2 sec on that run.It was a hell of a a lot of fun and really went for it powered up across the channel..Tongue out Pity about the arm..

I was hoping for a better alpha as I did some good ones including one I thought would be a 20+..unfortunately all my good ones were too wide..Undecided

Choppy by Budgy standards and only bit of flat was in amongst the weedbergs although as the day wore on a flatter patch started to appear further up. The usual 16 cm was about 40cm deep. You definitely needed to trust your fin to have fun today!

Just Phil & I at first then Bruce , Tibor , Pugs and Paul.

Going across the channel with the 20cmFF before it really kicked in..Thanks for the photo Phil.Smile

Tony I’ll have a look at your file tomorrow and see what’s going on. Glad you all got out, I’m still tired from Forster!
