Cottesloe, WA

Had an interesting race with Neil up to the harbour in a nice 12-15 knot seabreeze.

He was on his big Windtech 72 slalom, 7.9 KAR and 40 fin.

I beat him upwind and he beat me downwind Smile

Seems angles are everything upwind and our speeds were similar - downwind I went a little deeper but he went a lot faster. Awesome fun Laughing

Windfoil, Foilville

Went down and spent a while talking to Adam while we uummd and aaahhd about going out.

Was 12-15kn and well worth the effort with the amazing feeling of flying in bugger all breeze.

Even better getting to see Adam flying for the first time after breaking his foot months ago.

Marginal wind, good challenge for us lightweights

Got planing over half the time and enjoyed it

Rocket 125, Turbo 7.5, SW 33

Chat with Vincent trying out his foil with a big load of bubble wrap taped to the front of his board.

Nice angles upwind JJ, 2 inside tacks to make it up to the harbour impressive.

I think I matched you on the number of legs until the top and you got me by a short one. Off the wind I could go as deep but it was the same speed as you... that wasn't the way to kick your arse... so I went a bit higher and picked up a heap more speed.

Wait until I get my new super wing...you're history bro. Wink

I saw you heading out Ricey but you did not recognise me on a big learners board.

You did well in that very light wind

Slugger - the Simmer 2XC 6m is perfect for me for 10-15 knots freeride foiling (and for beating hot slalom sailors upwind Wink) - light, powerful and stable.

For 15+ and swell/wave foiling I use Simmer Blacktip wavesails as they de-power better.

Slugger, make sure you wear the special foiling caps available from all good flat earth shopsSealed They will improve your foiling in leaps and bounds.

Boz, you look great wearing your foil cap Kiss

Now you just need to go see Jesper and buy the actual foil Tongue out
