Rigged up big for the light conditions. All seemed cruisy for about half an hr until the mega fleet of yachties decided to invade the pitch and chop up the water. This coincided with the wind picking up in the middle but was quite gusty and shifty. Tried changing down a fin size but this didn't work never felt quite comfortable for the conditions. Also tried the Delta for a few runs over the ridiculousl shallow sandbar. Definately not a top 10 Melville day!

South Fremantle

Late foil sess 20-25 knots. Big chop at the local, painful sailing on a slapper but smooth-as on the foil Smile

Fair bit different to yesterday, wind just felt a bit odd today.

Used the 7.8 for most of the session then figured i'd try the 7.0. Made a big difference changing to the 7, much better suited to the board.

Loved it when the yachts came through and made the water sooo lumpy and rough as gutsYell

Same old, but the wind was all over the place. Rigged the KAR 6.3 was about to go and play in the middle but decided to throw a couple gybes in close just to make sure the sail felt okay, lucky as on the second gybe in close the mast decided to punch through the top of the sail, webbing sheared off. I think it's retirement of the trusty 2018 KAR 6.3 had a good bash with this sail for the last 11 months so it's time for the sail to be stripped down of battens and put to rest. Rigged the next best thing in my car the Koyote 5.9 freeride, had a heap of fun just gybing between the two markers with stratfold, wind a bit gusty so off the plane a couple of times around the markers but happy with the performance. Tim and Lunny played the outside in the sloppy mess created by the sailboats while it was quite smooth on the inside.

I had a great fang up to Pt Walter but on my second gybe near the jetty I smacked the bottom , broke off my wing and shredded the tip of my fin. And then my watch ran out of batteries... so not the greatest of sails .

Oddly, the fin felt pretty good...?? Might be onto something?

WindTech 64 , Ka 6.3 and a new shredded tip fin.

A bit of gybe practise today and testing a new fin for the mistral. Parked way down the beach in hopes of staying far away from the shallow sand bank and getting the more consistent wind. Wind seemed more on/off than yesterday almost like a frontal wind. Saw the other pinnas sailing from the carpark was hoping to catch up afterwards but was getting dark. What a great few days its been for wind.

6.2 reflex, 91 mistral, 31 Select pointer.

Thanks Fangy. Your tactic of removing the bath plug and draining all the water from the Mandurah Estuasry was a bit late.

That is the first time we have won any of the cups. Lao shi tells me we missed by one point once.

First time we have finished top of the table in any month also.

World champions!

I am very proud of my talented and dedicated team
