Had to drop and pick up the missus from work today so was easier to hang south of the river. Haven't sail Lucky Bay in a while forgot how flat the water is and how gusty it can be. Gusty, shifty wind with holes. Was well lit on the 7.5 at times today, lots of fun! cambered sails and flat water and I'm over 30 knts, haven't been in a while. Was nice to catch up with Tim and Ricely before they went out, also I met Mark for the first time, hope you guys had a blast too!

Haven't sailed Peli for a while, lots of fun on the Koyote 5.9 sail today never overpowed needed more wind to get a good naughty tryed a few times but kept loosing pressure in the runs. Next time, fun going for the NM at this location not an easy feat kudos to Greg for yesterdays NM run.

Carlisle St, Safety Bay, WA, AU

Good solid breeze today for round 2 with the Windtech SB 57.

Pulled the front straps back 1 screw hole and it made a nice difference in stance comfort and feeling more in control.

Had the trim set with no flex all of this session for excitement and the runs down the bank were awesome, didnt feel intimidated at all.

The 6.2 and 29 Tribal ws with this board was a great combo today.

I'm certain this is the fastest I've been over the Pengos weed bank so i cant wait to try this board on flat water considering how choppy it was today.

Great day again!

Pelican Point, WA, AU. Another great after work session with all the usual suspects. Had a few runs back from Majestic which is where the mile was this time, but was really underdone in the middle 25knots min speed (peak was 33.5), so lucky to fluke a 30 again. Spent most of the session just blasting around looking for gusts off the point, but struggled to line them up with any flat water. Quite a bit of chop out near the point today. Another great session Cool

Arrived with the big gear, expecting a 15knt breeze. Brief chat to Vince and he said'you'll be fine on the 7m", the smallest sail in the car today. Rigged the 7m by which time Huey had decided to take it up a notch with some 28knt bullets blowin across the bar. Well and truely over powered in the gust but always good to get out and catch up with the crew. Would have been a good day to have the small kit for some speed runs.

Shoulda gone to Peli point, shoulda had a 7m sail. Very gusty and direction was not right but was sure the wind would kick in and go Southerly... it never really did up there but had a good time anyway.

Full respect to the speedsailors who have the discipline to go up and down a flat course. I'm sure I have ADHD...I just wanted to head down the river and blast around.

Anyway I'm pretty stoked with those speeds in pretty crappy conditions.

Melville Beach, WA, AU & Pt Walter

Suspected Pt Walter could be working and saw JJ and Neil mid afternoon who had the same thoughts. With a low tide I decided to head to Melville and try some runs over the bar. Good to enjoy the gusts with Tim, Ricey and Jeff. Good to meet you Vince too. Tried the Manta 59 with the Vapor 6.4 and wp 27. and managed 34s. Should have used the larger board but with the tide rising I headed to Pt Walter to see JJ and Neil enjoying the runs and Chris Porter rigging up. Tried the  Manta 66 with a wp 25 which was too small for the chop.  Switched to the 61 Manta and use a 27 wp and it felt smoother. Good to see Ben venturing up a few times from Melville. The last run with Chris turned out to be another 20. A Top 10 day.

Not quite the wind we were hoping for - seriously underpowered on the 5.8 but fun banking big turns on the 57. It's going to be an alpha machine in strong wind.

Good to catch up with Woody and Chris.

Great arvo out on the swan. Started up going for an hour with teh 105L board wich was a read handfull in the gusts, got lifted a few times and lucky to land most of them. After an hour i headed to Wally world to join Woody, Chris and Neil for a few speed runs. Chased the Rotto ferry which seems to have sped up a few knotts which is good to see. Tacked back to point Walter but the wind shut down not long after I got there. Thanks Woody for offering me a lift back to Melvile, for a moment there I was wondering if I should've taken you up on the offer. Thanks also to Tailwind who was looking out for anybody who may be stuck out there.

Great sailing in the lumpy stuff today Craig, its a good advert for the Windtech build quality and performance after the thrashing you gave it today.

Good work, team! More points on the board, with some good speeds on the river, and a big team turnout again.

Congratulations on a super hour, Ben - a second best, well done!

Jake, another 30+ river mile, and another 20 kn hour after your sensational hour yesterday. Great sailing!

JJ, good to see you on some slalom gear on the river again.

Thanks for the offer Neil, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like the pink sail. Only Boz seems to like itCoolGood call Mark. Looks like it was worth the migration to the land of the wallies .

Thanks JJ. Neil and Tim, making the right call for me is as rare as a good session at Pt Walter Smile  I wondered if you had thought a lift was a better option Ben. Good to see your post to know you made it back!

Cannonball, JJ and I watched your ferry chase whilst de-rigging at Pt Walter. It looked amazing from where we were and you were flying. You were keeping up in the beginning but it seemed the wind dropped and you fell behind. Moments like that that just make our sport magic.

Cheers Neil. Thought I timed it just right but I was struggling to keep up. Had to give up on riding the wave so I could bear off to keep the speed up through the lull. Wind picked up closer to Melville to help with teh naughty. If the starts align there is a good naughty to be scored chasing the ferry.

GPS did not work, thought it was charged but apparently not.

Very gusty at Melville and never got comfortable
