Carlisle St, Safety Bay, WA, AU    Pat SL87, Simmer SCR 5.4, TWS25

Ran out of credit on my phone today so couldnt check the wind or tide. Driving away from work Cockburn sound looked like a washing machine so knowing that there was enough at coodanup yesterday it should be better today. I arrived to find cows grazing in the padock and no sign of any water. Ross came down to nairns and let me know in no uncertain terms that T1 was to blame, he pulled the plug out before he left yesterday. I headed back to safety bay with my knees begging me not to after yesterday.

I got there to find Lunny out on a 6.2 thrashing Neils Windtech board across massive chop doing his best to destroy it. Both board and Lunny held together well. I broke out the virgin 5.4 race sail keen to give it a try, in hindsight should probably gone the 5.8 not that I was underpowered appart from a few occasions. My biggest problem was the nose of the board flying too high in the chop so ended up with the mast track all the way forward in the end. A bigger sail may have pinned the nose down a bit better, also moving my footstraps forward may have helped. Towards the end I started to enjoy things alot more and done a few quick runs on top of the weedbank at pengos which was relatively flat and great fun.

Great Sailing by Lunny today on big kit  for such crazy conditions. Great to watch.

T2 1. Well done parking on the land every time so far this week.

    2. You have misunderstood. The brown plug T1 pulled out had nothing to do with the estuary. SurprisedLaughing
