A quick session before snotgobbler duties at Fangyland. I just chucked in the Barge and went for a cruise around the place. The tide was too low to get any speed through the weed and even the channels were a bit grabby. But bright sunshine and warm, all up a very relaxed sort of day. Post more later if I get a chance.

Carlisle St, Safety Bay, WA, AU    Pat SL92, Sim SC Speed 5.8, TWS 27.

Parked in outer space today and it payed off with 2 location bests in the 5x10 and alpha. Even though my head hasnt been too great this week had a fun sail chasing Lunny around who was again giving the loaned Windtech a good seeing to. Difference being he will have done about three times my distance by the time he comes in. The Virgin 5.8 was absolutely perfect today in the conditions but I could have done with a 29 fin which i dont have atm as I was getting spin out off the wind in the chop which ruined my NM atempt. Other than that a top 5 SB day.

Coodanup, I really think Mandurah needs to encourage people to get into crabbing its a great pastime and i hope people come from far and wide to catch the crabs from our waters.

Promised wind didn't quite happen, so went with the much worn combo, 53cm board, new 6.2 koncept, 20cm @ 55d.

My aim today was to sus out the alpha channels, get familar with the best approach, and widen and deepen them a bit.

That worked well, but the problem with this run is the gybe area is often in a slight wind shadow, typically takes a bit of pumping to get going again.

But I had one run with good wind all the way. seeing as I had a good idea where the start and finish was, I used Strop's downwind approach to the start, not sure hom much this helped, I find it hard to hang on to down wind speed. But it's where I had my max speeds. The chanels are probably a bit over 50m apart, so angling a bit upwind on exiting the outward leg is neccesary.

Nice little sail in Elmo's lumpy goodness doing runs down through the chop Cool Did have some spin outs, I'll go the weedspeed tomorrow and see if that makes a diff. Not so lonely today, a few T bags and three other sailors no GPS's.

CA SL87, 34 Venom, 6.6 Koncept, sunshine and boardies

The locals were asking where you were Bob as you are almost a regular up here now.

Nice work everyone! Great results

Hey Fangy, Dave and I have been discussing your very tidy results of late, impressive 2s and others. When we discussed how to replicate them, Dave suggested more ballast was needed!! his words not mine, so you can take that up with him Wink lol

BUT i took him on his word and this is what the result was! Mulberry Windsurfing Pie with ice cream and cream. Sure this doesnt actually help my alphas at the end of the day. But SOOOOOO YUM     Clearly no windsurfing addiction in this household Cool

Nice hour Rob. I'll be there with your boom tomorrow with any luck. Looks like i made the right choice today. Plenty of wind here. OMK bring pies next time you come up but dont rely on Slugger to provide the ice cream.

No where near enough crabbers out which is probably why the waters full of bloody crabs. I think crabbing needs to be encouraged and if they are fished into extinsion then so be it.
