JP Slalom 71, NP RSR E7 7.0m, Elmo SS 37cm

Short session in the lumpy goodness, only two runs, but what fun they were, fully lit tending towards OP and really strong down toward sthe chanel marker.

Still very happy no bruises no damage.

Life is good

Fangyland cruising around on the ol' Party Barge. post more later.

A Hat trick of EPIC fails from BOM gave rise to yet another flaccid session that had promised more…that sort of reminds me of someone….anyhoo, the big kids were there from Coastal Nanas with a serious assortment of carbony go fast gear. So I thought I  psyche ‘em out by getting the Plastic Fantastic 310 Xantos  Barge of the last millennium out to play. (Once the forklift had lifted it out the trailer) And then whacked in the Simmer 7.8 and Fangy 22(cutdown24) to complete the package.

But once I got on the water the breeze just beckoned to go cruising about the estuary, so I did. I really enjoyed the long runs down chop lines and across the estuary to the N. Yunderup bay. So much so, I forgot about times and numbers altogether for a bit. End result, a very relaxed sail (albeit a little late for responsible parenting) and a Top Ten Fangy Antidote to yesterday’s hard work on the little board.

Hui played his tricks again today and I got sucked in. wind picked up nicely as I was deciding what to rig. Stroppo assisted Hui by saying the haze on the horizon was wind caused and it would be with us soon.

So set up the 48cm board with the 18@50, then took another wind reading, still seemed to be building so rigged the 5.8, but as soon as I'd finished doing that it started to back off. Not to be discoraged I went out anyway, but didn't get far! Came back for the 53cm board and should have rigged the 6.2, but laziness driven by optimisum decided against that, I stayed with the 5.8. So was very underpowered the whole session.

Nice to catch up with Tom, Craig, Ji, Stroppo from Coastal, and Simon, Barry, Pas and Ross

Another fun sail through the chop lines. Nice wind for the 5.8 untill last run back so I called it as I thought it was gonski. The Red Nutter rolled up and as he went out with a 7M the wind picked up again, he did well to hold it all together as another guy did the head plant thing totally destroying his sail. As we were gas bagging the wind really stepped up, on the old wind gauge it was gusting 26knts which makes it bloody hard to tie down my board to the roof racks.

CA SL87, Venom 34, 5.8 Koncept, sunny skies, warm water and boardies.

  Fangy weedfarm,  WA, AU.

A fun lazy sail in the smooth,....   maybe more later,

Not much more to say, exept that it was good to get out and see everyone, and the rigging practise. Had the old slalom52,

the Ka kon6.6, and El55/18cm weed fin,..  it worked well. At the end wind was picking up a bit and allmost getting too

much for the 6.6, so headed back to see the others were packing up and heading off, so that was it for me too.   Thou windsup

went back out for a few more runs.

Is it my memory, or does it really seem to be a season of really low tides? I don't remember ever being confined to the outside banks and not being able to launch from S bend as much as this season? Undecided

Oh and nice work picking up a distance jellybean Slugger. It's every mobbers dream to sail diddly squat kms and then get the distance jellybean because PJ decided to sail around the to the moon and back that day Laughing
