Wynnum, QLD, AU. Tested my dodgy toes in 10 knots of wind. They need another week.

First sail at Queens Lake, NSW, AU, with Darren.

With no wind at home, Darren and I decided to head south. We pulled in to check out Queens Lake. Beautiful spot! It was blowing very offshore. We were about to give up and go back to South West Rocks when we saw somebody sailing out way down wind. We looked on the maps and tried to drive back further down the lake. We wasted about 1.5 hrs bush bashing, gave up and went back to where we were earlier and sailed out. The other guy had gone in by now. The wind was super offshore with a huge wind shadow. Sailed over to the weed/mud bank but our fins were too big. It looked good in there to be on a delta. We went downwind a ways then the wind seemed to swing a bit more north and be getting lighter/gusty. Pretty worried about tacking back up through the windshadow we pulled the pin. Saw loads of fish and a couple of dolphins were out there too.
