1942 days ago 2 categories Well that was a much better day. After the last two I was determined to reverse my fortunes, so no matter what I was going to rig the 6.6koncept and use the 65cm beast, plugged in the 21cm@55 deg, If I'd had a 22 I would have used that.
Got there early so I didn't miss the peak, and there was just me an Frank, (think he followed Morts up from albanatartica), for over an hour.
Was great, planing all the time except coming out of a few starboard gybes in the chop. Then a few more sailors dribbled out, Morts, The Fin, Peter and Nina.
Wind was quite westerly, and again confused my alpha line.
Nina wants to suss out Liptons, so if there's any wind that's probably were we'll be.

Send It Sunday, had a great session just sending it down the wind swells. Great till the wind died in no mans land, floated around trying to waterstart for awhile, finially got up and battling to stay up, finially got enough wind to get back and then called it. Of course the wind came back but I was high and dry by then.
Great to see the Hooverboys Slug and Strop flying in good wind with the greatest of ease, they did look like a couple of butterflies looking for rainbows, top day.
95L Gladiator, 32 Powermax. 6.6 Koncept, Boardies and fun fun fun.

Great foil with Glen and bob who had a slap.
Was full on with a good wind and chop, nearly gave it away but Strop saved the day with some top advise ( poo stance) wind dropped off and had some awesome runs out to the middle with Glen and also Bob who i think wanted to board me!!!
Fun fun in the sun..

SSW 16-20 knots-Fanatic Falcon 111-Simmer 7m-Tribal Weedspeed 37cm
Started on Patrik 100 and struggled for 20 kms and swapped for FF 111 for more float and infinitely better gybing. Had a ton of downhaul as thinking wind was going to crank which it never really did however felt pretty slippery. Had my years best in hour, alpha and NM which backed up the feel good scenerio. All planing gybes from 21 kms to 97 kms, even jagged a single strap to strap:-)
Not as many people turned up as I expected but saw Chris, Leon and a couple others, Mike showed late:-)
