Cottesloe, WA

Super 20-24 knot breeze, more than forecast.

20 knots seems to be about the minimum to generate a decent windswell - about 2m out the back today, awesome fun Laughing

Lao was looking good in the stronger wind Cool

A nice but again gusty sail. Good to catch up with the few Pinnas out and usual Melville crew. Happy New Year to all.

I had the entire Kingdom of Fangyland to myself. The wind was not so strong but the Ladies of the King's Bedchamber took good care of me. He can expect a flourish of babies with spinifex-like hair later in 2019.

Cottesloe, WA,  then Pelican Point

Double session today to finish the year, started at Dutchies and it booted in to a solid 20, so much fun trying to avoid the breaking waves on a NM run had to abort on all 4 attempts, but stoked to get a 30kn 500m average so it's doable just not today got a bit hairy on a couple occasins so called it quits before damage to equipment and body and headed to the calmer waters of Peli Point. First time this year plugged the 32 pointer in and had fun going up wind to Point Walter best speed was in the middle on a bear off cross chop, the pointer fin made it interesting to say the least but lots of fun. Happy new year to all stay safe and see you on the water next year:)

Dutchies results from the watch

Tracks from today, forgot to turn on the watch till I was out on the run

Didn't quite go to plan, I probably over rigged and not long after the conditions were right for the rig, the wind shut down with another hour or so of sunlight left. Oh well, time to welcome in the new year. Good to sail with Craig, Tim, Andrew and many of the other Melville regulars. Another good day on the water. Happy new year!

Majestic Point, WA, AU

That was fun, glorious warm summer weather. Missed the peak and went up to Pt Walter and then the bottom dropped out when I got there. GPS numbers aside it was a perfect sail for the last of the year.

Happy new year all, may 2019 bring you the best.

Happy New Year Pesky's. Look forward to catching up with you all over the next few months. Oh and Remery, no Ladies were left behind when we departed on our Royal Tour. I am thinking maybe there are a few bewildered pelicans on the foreshore?
