Fun little sail just zipping back and forth accross the chanel.
Didn't want to push things to hard todau as the ribs are still sore, just a liesurely blast with gybes.
Good crew out enjoying the conditions, which never really filled in til after I got of the water.
Best session this week.

very light wind foil with Otts and Strop, amazed how the infinity 76 gives so much lift in such little breeze.
Fun at the bay, we now have our own flag, courtesy of Noel , just awesome .
And NO Ross i didnt dance around it, well only once....

I had the old WT-FR-52 board, and a small sail, Ka kon5.8, to go with the small fin, weedy fin fin/50/60 at 16cm to get
into the smooth shalow stuff, with extra weed.
So a fun day in the warm water and sunshine....
and, hope Jakes foot will feel beter soon, otherwise its gona be a long night.

1930 days ago BOM/Willyweather seemed very confident about a cut off low ending up just south of Pinjarra and giving us a ball tearer of a breeze. The trouble was no one else in the meteorolgical world agreed with them and rightly confirmed it by delivering a dribble of a breeze.
Still, there was an opportunity to relieve a Pesky of a few coins once he had been mesmerised by a shiny new FF22 and a handful of lollies in bright wrappers… Transaction complete and Huey buggered off for a while. Leaving Fin rigging a leftover napkin and trying to convince Cap’n Calm and me to do the same. Having seen Tubbyguts Basil fall for Fin’s sailing on BS breeze capabilities, I decided that it Party Barge time, FF24 and SimmerSCR 7.8.
The next hour or so was a ball of chillaxed sailing. In fact, several of my 5x10’s come from sailing directly across to Yunderup chasing small chop lines. After a Master session of dogging it, Pesky Rob left and the breeze picked up, but then dropped again as Pesky Anita took his place as a wind calming device.
But I can't complain, it was certainly warm, and a no dramas session. That is until Jake decided to kick a cobbler with his ankle. [Insert collective and empathetic groan here..]
Once we got Jake and his kit sorted, the visiting brigade of wokkers somehow managed to incur the wroth of one of the locals - my best guess is that he confronted them about their catch of crabs, size and amount. Lots of yelling and carrying on, taking photos of licence plates etc, but it seemed to resolve eventually…
Top Ten Cobbler Free Day of cruising on the old Barge for me :-)

1930 days ago 1 categories arived at Fangys to find fin rigging a 5.8, hmmmm I'm only measuring 13kts average 17kt gusts, couldn't get motivated with that wind, so lay down on the grass and watched the Fin do his thing. Fangy then arrived, so fin had an audience of two. For a while Remery and Bonno also arrived, but they weren't interested in what the fin was doing, they started rigging, so I took another reading, and it had picked up to 16kts with 1the very odd 20kt gust. So I rigged the 6.6, 53 and 21cm@55d. By this time the Fin had launched and was flying around. Previously I would have changed my mind and gone with the 6.2 and 20cm@55d. But I've done that too often recently, I've learnt my lesson. Ignore Fin, hold your nerve, stick to the 6.6 and 21@55.
When Fangy and Remery launched they slogged up wind for a few tacks, so the oposite thought emerged, should I change to the 65cm board?
Nup, can't be bothered, stay with what's rigged.
Glad I did, was nicely powered most of the time, no struggling to get on the plane, just point and go.
Wind picked up more after Remery left the water, so I changed the outhaul to the lower hole and pulled it on a bit, sail felt a lot lighter. This gave me my best alpha.
Not long after Anita and Jake appeared, of course the wind then started to drop, almost made it back. I past Bonno walking his rig, there's a real wind hole close to the launch spot at Nairns, so I just surfed the chop downwind until I ran out of depth.
While downrigging, I spotted Jake flying in, flat out into the sand bank, big catapult onto the sand, picks himself up, and runs with a very pronounced limp up the beach. He complains of a badly bleeding cut to his foot. Fangy turns instantally from ex dentist to on the beach para medic. A cobbler sting is diagnosed, Jake's Mother rung, and we continue downrigging while Jake writhes in agony.
But what did impress us, was inspite of all the pain, he still had to check his speed on the GPS.
