Another light NE. Looked promsing early so I rigged the CA70 and 7.0. But dropped as soon as we hit the water, then was underdone for the rest of the day.

Adjustable outhaul cleat came loose at one point which made things rather tricky.

 then 7.5GT turbo- RS4 ( 111ltre) 43 makani weedy

 I expected it to come up over 20kts so I rigged too small.

It looked a bit better up above the point or at the sand islands but you had to get there and I was too underpowered to get upwind..I finally got above the point but it still wasn't enough and I was picking up bucketloads of weed on the fin..

 Came in and got the big kit . Not much towards Bolton ( gusting to 10-12kts) but not bad over the sand islands ( except I wished I was on the 90ltre).

 I haven't catapulted in years and was really worried about it so I do whatever I can to avoid it. Catapulted for the first time today and didn't hurt myself so that was a big confidence boost.. I'd spun out and was trying to turn the board off the wind to get it going again. The rig got a bit too far forward and over I went..

Did I say the weed was bad?  First time I've ever caught a bucketload on the 45 degree Makani..
