Quick sail that I didn't really need. The odd gust but 50/50 off the plane. E 5-15 kts

Beautiful NE, clear water and no weed. Couldn't have been more different than that woeful easterly we had for the racing on Saturday.

A great sail. One of those I'll daydream about in the doldrums of autumn..Smile

It didn't start that great. I was very powered up near Caol and in the middle and I decided I'd love to have a go at the sand islands with the smaller gear..Not much fun. Patchy, underpowered and the one time I managed to get upwind to suss out the run the fin was vibrating through the weed so i didn't stay there long.

A few times I wondered whether to come in and change down. After the first run I went into the point and moved to the bottom clewhole, moved the mast foot forward , lowered the boom and put some more outhaul on and everything felt great.

No boat wake , not much weed , consistent wind..bliss Cool

I did my favourite run across to Carey. First time there's been enough wind ( and not too ballistic)and it was terrific! That combo is so comfy and user friendly in chop. A great run back. The chop flattened out northwest of the point. Really enjoyable.

I was actually wishing for a few bigger gusts to try for better speeds.

I'm finally feeling like the old me is back and I'm enjoying it out there. Next step is to try some jumps..eek.. Some good ramps there today but I whimped out as I felt the sail was a bit big ( well that's my excuse anyway..Laughing ).

Andrew, Tony , Greg and a few launching from Swansea..maybe Otis / Milos / Bill?

Boy that was great flying over the top of the waves.. sigh.. I certainly like pointers better than weedies..Frown

Lucky I quit when I did as my mast base has a tendency for the top to unscrew and there was a couple of mms gap between the mast and base..It probably would have come apart if I went back out..Surprised
