Coodanup, WA. Drove to Australind first, but decided to go to Fangy's when Hardie send a message that he'd already done 40 knots. Different wind direction, high storm surge, so a bit of chop, and something about my gear just did not feel right. Saw Stroppo do 42 knots, lots of others in the high 30s and low 40s, so my speeds are quite disappointing, even though it's a top-5 session for 2 sec and 5x10. Spend most of my time on the FF89 + FF22, stole the Isonic W54 for one run when Nina was trying Mike's gear and right away got a new top speed. Then decided to take a break and wait until Nina would let me have the speed board for a while, but between waiting and switching fins, I got so cold that sailing did not warm me up again. Instead of doing stupid hypothermia things, I called it a day and drove like a maniac to thr hot shower.

Thanks for the tip, Stroppo. I usually have the mast track close to the front, but put it back a bit further today because the sail was smaller than usually. Probably a bad idea. I ended up moving the boom down more and more, which helped a bit. The last few runs, I left the mast track where Nina had put it when she thought she'd have to sail the Falcon - much further back. That definitely put the nose way too far up, even I noticed Embarassed.

I looked at your tracks from today, quite interesting. Most of your fast runs are "constant acceleration, constant curve" - quite different from the "sudden slingshot" concept I have in my head.
