Lake George, SA, AU

Great to be back after 4 years Cool, catch up already with few people, and my good friend Georgio Wink, havent seen Jamie yet, he is busy working Tongue out

woooow, cant believe I sailed 80ks, did not felt it!! The place havent changed, even choppy you still eat the mileage, Hr, etc without trying!!

I had to use my light wind gear which I rarely use in Perth or here! Wind about 14-18, sometime big hole with nothing! Swinging wind, eventully picked up later 18-22 I recon (lited on the combo), became more choppy means not faster even trying hard and different angle, etc. Yell Very hard work trying to keep the ground.

oooh yes, I forgot, I used the lockwood delta 20 for the 1st time, works well for the combo, but not suitable for the conditions, too choppy, water too high, so nothing to cut through the weeds, useless! try something different tomorrow

The water is high, yes Jamie was right Wink.. I recon there is at least 1 foot and alf too much, poles at 5 miles and the paddle on the access road still flooded like few weeks ago, sea channel to the lake is flooded too which I never seen before!! There is weeds but too deep they are. lot of areas with NO weeds. 5 miles start is nice because not a mud start anymore Smile

I havent venture too much yet because the unstable wind today, will do more tomorrow, it look like there is more and better wind. I cld have sailed deeper on other side, plenty water..

Regardless of conditions I am happy to be back and relax with the miss, just been here and catch up with the crews Cool

Happy days

6.2 Koncept, Sonic 85L, Manta 74L & FF20

First sail in 3 weeks & it felt good to get back on the water.

Spent most of the time trying to work out where the weed is as the tide got higher.

Thought I'd be all alone but was joined by Alain a nice Frenchman & Woody-Mark. Bloody Pinnas are migrating South now! Even worse Mark smashed me on the NM Yell So of course he is now banned Wink

Hopefully we will get more conditions like today over the next couple of months Laughing

SSW to SSE 12-18 knots-Fanatic Flacon 111-Simmer Race 7m-Curtis Race 40cm (the whistler)

Tough day, wrong kit either could have used bigger board for more glide through the lulls and ro more sail. Shiftyand gusty day. First one at the lake and last to leave. Lots of crew around today:-)

Excellent strategy Morts. Of course, it didn't work for me, but I hope if you go a bit harder and burn a few vehicles, that should deter the Parasitic Pinna Grubs.InnocentLaughing

Be careful, make sure you have a Hazmat suit, the Boznium stuff is really toxic and debilitating.

Looking forward to more entertaining posts from you Sammy!
