Mackay, QLD, AU

Cracker of a morning sail. Arrived to 10kNts and empty beach and carpark, rigged big and wind gradually filled in until fully lit. Rain squall came through at the end providing one very deep, very powered up run to finally crack an open ocean 30 on the big kit. CA SL70, 7.5 Ezzy, Talon 42.

Good to get that out of my system. Stuck at work all week looking at similar 15-20 conditions, with low tide in the arvos preventing after work sails.

Got down and grabbed the 7.8 out, wind picked up, grabbed the 7.0, then it really picked up with rain squalls, so went  with the 6.3.  Way too much south so just punching 90degrees into swell/waves.  In addition just too up and down so came in to grab the JP FSW but but then heavy very squally rain killed my enthusiasm.  Got one crazy run going broad.

Woo hoo Troy, well done.  About to go for a spin myself.  Seriously, it has been windy in Yeppoon for the last 3 months consistently but unfortunately I haven't made the most of it.

Good session Troy. Has Phil been getting out?

Any chance of coming down to Burrum this year?

Phil's  week on week off has been timed perfectly to match the no wind periods. He is also trying to learn the foil board out in the deep water in front of his place. Think I  need to stir him up.

Sadly Burrum is a bit of an impossibility this year. Smack bang in the middle of a 3 week shutdown. Not happy.
