Green Island, QLD, AU.Light ESE winds 14-18 knots .Gear FF 121 Evo 7 8.6 Tribal SW 39 then as the tide retreated switched to 22cm Kestrel .

Great to get wet again & catch up with Benny Mc .

Wasnt sure how the Kestrel 22 would work on the bigger gear -surprisingly effective & needed today with the lower tide & copious weed.

Still got to get used to sailing in ankle deep water with these crazy delta styled fins ...!!!Tongue outCool

Green Island, QLD, AU

Caught the early boat over in the hope of clocking some k's up...  Bugger all wind on arrival...  Probably the calmest wind I've ever experienced sailing off GI!...  Rigged the biggest sail I had in the quiver (Severne OD 7.8- poor quiver choice today!!!).  Approx. 45 mins in after multiple curses, I decided to try some Joga on the beach...  Then I built some sand castles & watched Doby chasing bait fish in the shallows whilst praying to the wind gods... Surprised  Was at this point I thought if only I had a decent herb garden... Laughing

Dr Cam (legend) then turned up on the later boat...  the wind then picked up a little, a rainbow started to form on the horizon & it was just enough for the Doc (legend) to get up and going on his rig 3 laps to my 1!

I on the other hand, for no lack of trying, ended up being on struggle street for almost the rest of the entire session with just 0.8 metre less sail & skinnier board...  I do like a nice rare steak, but lets just say today's was way underdone!...

Dr Cam (legend) came to the rescue later on in the sesh offering up his rig so as I could at least get in a couple of reasonable laps...  What a big difference it made for a short fix.  Still trying to fathom the Doc's (legend) stats for today- 30k+ in those conditions... WOW!!!

In summary, without going into too much detail, today had a series of unfortunate events... but it was great to catch up with the Doc (legend)!

Kestral fins ended up being a little bit of a saving grace (no pun intended)... Cool
