Primbee, NSW, AU

My first Primbee session since injuring my shoulder in November and wow this westerly turned it on. Very choppy, 40+kt gusts, even a small water spout and the usual kiter in the power lines. My first bearaway was a bit scary but after that I settled in for a great session. It was great to see so many sailing enjoying the sun shine before it got really cold on dusk.

Kanahooka, NSW, AU.

SB147, Race Foil, 7m Mach1.

Foil and Formula series races were held in westerly conditions that went from about 18 to near 40kts around the mid point of race one. It is the strongest choppiest conditions I have ever foiled in and was actually interesting to see how the whole set up handled the conditions. Congrats to Glen and Chris for actually finishing the two laps and to Chris for winning the overall championship and also to Stu for, like me, not breaking anything. It did become a case of, be in survival mode particularly for the Formula sailers who had 10m+ sails up. Remainder of races cancelled after R1.

FOIL

Last round of the NSW series. Only one race race - got blasted by the quickly building westerly. Certainly the windiest I've been foiling in. Surprisingly good upwind but pretty mental downwind. Congrats to Chris and thumbs up to all who attempted the raceSmile

Went to Kanahooka to check out the formula/foil event. Seeing 10 meter sails in those condition hats off gentalmen and to the foilers as well hats off. Magical Mike and I were rigged I am sure I heard the words I am crazy. Well we derigged as it got wild and insane.

I went to Primbee! rigged and had a caddy Darren thank you. Walked out and I am sure it was like another 15 to 20 more knots.

Played around with my quiver got it right and I was comfortable.

Great to see some faces that I have not seen for a long time. One is a local now Wink

For some reason I can not upload my file. But I can say I had fun...

Pleanty of Lipton tea out today as well.

Nice work gents. I’m in Canberra for the weekend 🤨. Dean, the weed has been disappearing with all the shallow water and hot days we’ve had. Can’t see it coming back any time soon!!

Great return to Primbee MT!  No monkeys on your back after your crash last November!

Devastated to have missed it (was there at dawn thismorning, but no wind)....congratulations to all who sailed.  Foiling at Kanahooka while MT is laying down 42s on the other side of the lake is just insane!
