Kenny (16394km): Melville Beach, WA, AU A fair bit of grovelling around today with Lunny and a few others. Water was cold but there was a bit of sunshine. One guy out there in boardies and shirtless! 6.2 overdrive, 91 mistral, 27 c3 weedy
Snickers (12777km): Coodanup, WA, AU Had the time so I ventured to the slimy waters of Coodanup. Boz looked to be going well on the 7M so I rigged the same but spent a fair bit of time grovelling. Tried a couple of different fins but really just needed a bit more wind. It had started to pick up so I switched to the isonic after lunch and snagged a decent gust about 4pm not long after most of Fangy's mob had called it a day. Dan and Boz looked to be racking up decent k's so I left them to it. Pretty cruisy sail, not bad for May. Reflex7.0, F2SX 105l and isonic 86. Fin works 30 weedy and random 31cm weedy.
Boz (39135km): Coodanup, WA, AU Cruisy sail with a few at Fangys, swaped between the 108 RRD and Drops best speed on the RRD, a bit gusty so a bit of waiting around but not too much, the 7.1 has a slight hole bottom panel nothing duct tape won't fix, somehow stalled the board and tripped over my own feet to put a knee in the bottom panel. Top day bit more wind and would have been an excellent day
RRD 108 Drops KAR 7.1

Pos (11755km): Coodanup, WA, AU Started out with Windtech 72 with 7.8 Loft sail, 33 cm Tribal speed weed fin. Then changed to Patrick 110 SL and 24cm FF fin, same sail.
Lunny (42007km): Windfoil, Foilville A very strange day for me. Put some trust in the BOM forecast and loaded up the foil gear - first fail, too gusty and a handfull so went home for the slalom gear. Back to Melville to see Colin and Kenny grovelling. Rigged, grovelled and planed for a short time/short distance, spat the dummy and went back to Foilville where it seemed too windy for foiling. Ahh well i suppose it'll be a handfull then It was very Gusty out there. Some nice moments but i still reckon foiling is the nicest in 13-17kn and when its not gusty. Packed up and jumped in the car to notice my head unit/stereo with a smashed screen must have shoved the gear in a bit too harshly - idiot! On a more positive note is was great to see Craig-Windsup back on the water again and to catch up with Kenny and Col. I ended up deleting the Mellville section as it was a non event. JP HF 135, NPF4, SV M2 7.8 (noticeably different to the hyperglide, HG has more oomph to get planing and only a bit less stable at speed than the M2)

SRS73 (15825km): Pelican Point, WA, AU Very gusty but some good moments today. RRD X-Fire 108, S2 Venom 7.0, 36 fin |
