Dampier Heasons Cove, 25 to 30 kts onshore closely spaced waves and wild, got smashed, Tried new/used iSo 80 that I picked up for Cam in Gero, not suited to the conditions, that wild I rigged Ezzy SE 5.2m wave sail, and 21/40 weed fin.  Gonna try a new spot tomo.  Tracks uploaded to KA72 for anyone interested in viewing my tracks.  The Pilbara is a wild harsh place, but stunningly beautiful in its own unique way.

Ps.  Take me out of my Mandurah Comfort Zone, and I'm a very ordinary sailor Embarassed.  I havent gone faster than 25kts since I've been up here Surprised.  I want to try and hit 30kts before I leave on Monday, we have decent winds forecast for Friday and Saturday, so just need to find some better water.  King Bay is the go tomo?

Strech, I closely looked at the salt ponds, and even though they have tresspassing and prosecution signs all over the place, I was willing to take the risk, but I spotted what looked like boulders, or mini salt mounds scattered all the way thru the best one, so they are unsailable anyway, I was thinking a 40kt run on a salt pond was worth a big fine or telling off.

Wow! Hardie! Cool

You are one bold explorer! Fantastic effort! Smile

Just looking at the GE pic and wondered about the channels through the mud flats at low tide closer to the town? Not sure I would want to venture into them though, not knowing what lurks beneath. SurprisedEmbarassed
