Boombas morning session with the usual Pesky suspects and Cap’n Calm. The conditions were not that fab, but probably par for the course on a winter’s day. I initially went the Barge, slimmed down FF24 and Koncept 6.6. The breeze was on and off and seemed to be WNW. However, looking at the SB graphs doesn’t back that up, with the MH yacht club showing a NW for the most of the day.

After a bit of floating, I had a couple of decent squirts on the Barge and so I went in and changed to the SB64 and FF22S.  I had some nice long runs, but frustratingly never managed to get a gust to coincide with some smooth water.

Overall I was underdone, but on the upside I was able to give the FF22S a solid work out. Unsurprisingly the fin lacks the power of the FF22, but it is well behaved, easy to recover and noticeably slippery. I am looking forward to giving it a whirl in the weedy smooth!

Windtech SB64 and FF22S this morning.

Boombas, 5.4koncept 53cm board 23cm 40/60 weedy.

Arrived to find Fangy, Crimson Flash, Boz rigged and wind picking up. Woody arrived just a bit before me and was still rigging.

While I rigged, Lunny arrived. Had a run to the end of the next bay where Fangy and Crimson Flash where sorting the Worlds problems. Then another downwinder into the bay. Then decided to see how hard it was to get back to base, wasn't that hard but took half an hour and by then it was lunch time.

Kenny and Windsup arrived, rigged and departed, I went for another bash, but arms were a bit tired so wasn't game for another long downwind run, so played around just out from the launch spot until I got slamned by a bigger gust in the chop. Wasn't having fun anymore so called it quits.

Also wind was getting more westerly, so hope all the guys at the south eastern end of boombas made it back OK.

Latest version 128 GPSspeedreader Googleearth view. I changed the default 1 pixel line width to 3pixels, as it's long runs and 1 pixel looks too thin
