Holloways Beach, QLD, AU  - Third day of holidays in BOARDIES!

Short little mid arvo sesh at the local mud pit with Gaz and Freddo back fresh from his holiday in Europe.

Wind looked promising on arrival but ended up being light, shifty and patchy- reckon we might have missed the best of it... should have rigged up a couple of hours earlier...

I think Freddo & Gaz sailed with 6.6m sails which would have been tough going considering I felt underpowered with a 7.8 OD sail...

Managed to break another pair of new sunnies during an awkward jybe attempt- somehow my head made contact with the mast!  Luckily nowadays I only sail with el cheapos... Laughing

Stayed out a little bit longer than Gaz & Freddo hoping to catch a squall or two from the incoming rain clouds moving through from Green Island-  even the squalls didn't eventuate to much...  Thankfully managed to just get back in to base before the rain started and the ocean went to absolute glass.

One more day in Cairns before jetting off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  Maybe some more time on the water tomoz if there is any wind about Cool

Used "Big Woody" Futura 124, Severne OD R6 7.8, Venom 48

"Long May our Big Jibs Draw!"

Benny ...good effort with very little wind. I left as the drizzle started...maybe you managed to get a run in with the squal before the rain!!

Certainly....sailing around here will not be the same without you for the next couple of weeks....pitty the rain is here today,

we could have had a 'see ya later' sail. Anyway look after your self and have a great Mexican holiday.
