Gusty gusty gusty... not much in between. At least I wasn't lonely, good to see the Maui travellers still smiling from their trip.

Early morning call from Johny and the plan was to going to the Sea Spit.

Very gusty as always but a lovely spot with some huge swell off the whale watching boats and other big boats at times there was some good surf on the sandbars but got some nice long runs at times.

Great to catch up with Shannon, John, Tony, Mikey, Jay and some locals.

Bumpy session on the inside of the bank; hit something, don't know what, half way through, went over the front and then noticed the sail had lost tension -- broke the downhaul, must have been the impact, luckily no other visible damage.  Went with the old Mistral screamer, find the narrow long shape good and comfy in messy conditions, but not the fastest.

has been months!!

Even though it was a gusty / holey westerly - loved every minute!!

Good company and beautiful clear water. However lots of boat traffic and very gusty wind from the SSW made for a very unsatisfactory sail. Lesson learned, only sail the spit when the wind is honking from the NW.
