Foilville WA, AU

Got to compare the NP Alu with and without the fuselage extensions thanks to Adam. The difference is significant. With the extensions, there is much more lift and the undulating motion is much more smooth/less sudden. I had to put the mast track a few cm forward and boom down to counteract the lift.

Managed to truck upwind to Melville easily with the extensions. Also gybes seemed easier as foot placement didnt affect the flight as much. Speedwise the extensions didnt seem to slow things down much. The stability may allow for more speed in the gusts once i get used the setup.

Will have to try the set up with the rear wing in the neutral position to reduce the lift. I can see that the extensions can breathe new life into the NP alu foils. Great work Adam!

My first session with Locosys on the last summer day. Still not sure about the settings. Didn't capture the distance. Couldn't find the 1 hr value.

Andrea, congrats on your first post !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The best bet for posting, is to download GPSspeedreader.

https://ecwindfest.org/GPS/GPSSpeedreader.html

That will work out all the GPSTC divisions, it creates a webpage with all the results and a link to post them directly here. It can also create a Google Earth view with the results high lighted on them.

Yes Andrea, the NM is definitely wrong, it can't be more than the 2s.

You need to post with GPSspeedreader. That will also give you the hour and distance.

For any stupid reason I didn't have the log set to record at my watch.
From memory the factory default is "off" - so no *.sbp file from my first run now.

My figures will be deleted.

It was worth to read all the lovely and cheerful comments.
Keeps me high spirited until I come back to WA.
Cold season has started now in Munich.
Hope to see you all soon!

Enjoy sailing!

Andrea you can change your speeds to 0 and still keep your post sometimes people leave there gps on going home and don’t want to adjust the data in the file so they just post 0 on there speeds that way you can still post about the sesh.

Andrea, your "top speeds" .SPD download from the display memory are still valid. So you can leave the  2s at 20.44, and the 5X10 at 19.21.

But you do need to delete the 18.77 alpha that's actually the average of a straight 500m run not a U turn, and also the 21.11 Nautical mile which is you're 0.2sec max speed.

Aww, much appreciation for all your efforts with my incomplete figures!

I am happy still being listed :-)

My watch is set proper now. I tried a test ride with my bycicle this morning.

Sbp-file and export went easy now.

I guess I kept nearly the whole team busy with my fuss. Thanks for all your patience!
