LG from Packins point, shit Gusty WSW ( I hate westrly wind )

wave gear with 4.7 ezzy tiger,

pissed i missed yesterday because of work, just sailed upwind into speed bay doing gybes when noticed sails at the spit end and doing runs through the middle, sailed across to see 2 fellow bogans and catch up, had a look up at uncle Kevs for a bit then just hanged back at packins.

finally got some longer harness lines ( thanks Anddy ) wow so much better. Rant- why can't all brands be the same bloody lenght Yell

Lake is at its fullest and not flat yet ( some spots are close ) really comfy today won't even bother with speed gear till the water drops over summer.

Really need to work on my gybe exits I'm way off where I normally am.

Lake George, SA, AU

dash to George, 4 hrs sleep up at 530 to 30Plus knots from west. Lots of water so no real smooth LG spots except in close where wind was dodgy.

patrick 53 speed, 80L with 5.4 simmer speed 25 black project. crazy over powered at start. Simmer not working with werverne mast. no matter what I did over first 100 kms couldnt get it to work.  Bye Bye simmer. It was exhausting . rule no.1 broken , always match sail and mast.

any one wants a brand new simmer speed same one as on Yoiu tube did 50 knots lets me know. Im going back to serverne as I dont want to buy a contant flex mast for it wjhen I alreay have sernve mast.

wind dropped so put on 6.2 and this changed my LIFE. new board was perfect and now sail at speed. Stash and I had great drag races across the bay on Twim boards fins and sails. Good times reachhing at 30 knots head to head.

didnt send it across the chop. wasnt game so 33knots was about all I risked on new board.  Its ability to just sit on 30 knots across chop was amazing.

cant wait for water to drop.

Congrats on the nm PB Peter! Jimbob amazing tracks. The lake must be up to be able to sail so far up above the island near the launch. Surprised

There was a star post in that area. We marked it but if the water is up it may not be obvious. have you seen it?

Sue the fisherman are always putting in droppers for nets it’s just bad luck sometimes, not much l can do about it. Water level is lower than last year. Weed about the same areas.
