Freddy Burke (12114km):  Unexpected sail with Benny at Holloways.Benny called before and after he arrived and mentioned that it wasn't too bad. Packeg the 117 as well but on arrival set up the 6.6 ......left my harrness at home. Anyway wasn't a good start but turned out ok even though at best it might have been 15!!! Benny must have been sailing for an hour before I got there....he is getting to be a machine...and just loves getting on the water. Benny McCarthy (14614km):  2 categories   Holloways Beach, QLD, AU Light wind arvo sail with the effervescent Freddy Burke! Got out on the water around 1:30pm with Freddo arriving an hour or so later due to work, hair & make-up commitments... Wind 10-15 knots, Easterly to begin with on a very low tide, then turning a little more South as the session went on. Good fun had by the pair of us... Freddo sailed bloody well in the conditions with his smaller gear!! Not enough oomph in the wind today to try for any sort of speed, instead just nice cruising conditions on another beautiful sunny afternoon in Tropical Far North Queensland! Discovered when derigging that I was very lucky to sail back to base with boom head damage- merely hanging on by one side! Fingers crossed, we may get in another session tomorrow arvo... Used the bigger gear again today- "Big Woody" Futura 124, Severne M2 8.6, Venom 48 "Long May our Big Jibs Draw!" | ||||||||||||||||||

Lake Cootharaba, QLD, AU. Disappointing NNE this arvo, was windiest when we rigged and eased instead of picking up as it normally does, dredged in at 3.45pm. Should have rigged 7mtr in hindsight, anyhow was still good fun out on new FOX. Out with Paul, Neil, Sam, Greg, Anne and a couple of visitors.
