Finally the NE arrived this arvo. Dream sailing , quite choppy, a bit of swell to run down and a breeze ideal for my 7.7, CASL70, 42 fin.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU NE,ESE 5-9 gusty and hard work. Geoff and Baz were more comfortable on formula gear and the foil kiters flew around as like we were statues. Still had a good workout.

S2 venom 8.4, falcon115 , select v max 43 also foil board and starboard 900 foil.

day started with dash across bay on foil in 5 to 8 knots was planning all the way did strugled at the gybe mark but to get going.

then we did 30 min GPS race but was just not enough.

Then the wind realy filled in from NE and was nicely powered on the 8.4 for the 2nd 30 min GPS race such a top spot.

Back is no good very sore at least at home now with beer in hand.

great to see almost 50 windsurfers at the event and people from all over nice to catch up with everyone.

16, 8.4 46 - spot on

Day 2 Sand and Sea

Who would have thought 30knt westerly switching to a 14-16 knt NE in the space of 24 hours.

Our patience paid off with 2 x 30 minute gps sessions conducted, unfortunately the first will be discarded due to being below minimum wind strenght for a fair portion and also the wind shifted 15 degrees rending the course set useless.

The session that does count was a bumpy affair with short chop from both E and NE keeping everyone on there toes.

Great spot, shame the wind durectio nand strength was not suitable on saturday but all in all a great weekend away.

Build on what we learnt and make next year better.

What a weekend!?!?!?

Luckily for me l went down on friday. It was too windy till about 3pm when it started calming down then l went out with a few other foilers like John Doolan, Bruce, Jeff and Andrew. It was an unexpected pleasure and we had a real nice time till the wind has slowed down too much. However, this session l am posting now happened on sunday as for the foilers saturday was a bit too much. Saturday a  few guys went out to do the GPS but it wasnt really pleasureable {so they said and it looked too}!  So, come sunday the wind turned around to the E-NE which was a pleasant surprise. We did the dash up to the far beach and back that included Raceboards, foilers and a couple of kitefoilers as well. At last a real nice and easy run whereby one of the kiters got the first with Byron second on the foil. I am assuming only one of the kiters got in ahead of us as l saw one struggling in the water on the way home. lf not then Byron got 3rd then came more foilers and the raceboards. that was worth the weekend away for me. The slalom boys went out later to do the GPS which was successful at after a slow start. All and all it was a pleasant weekend socially. Good to see some faces from far away as well and have some good laughs. l got my moneys worth! Thanks to the organisers!
