1608 days ago Well that was expensive.... and shifty!
Went out at Kyeemagh, with Remi and Walt... started 15, built to about 20 knots, then died to -2 (total wind shift) then came back to 20+ again.
I spent a lot of the light wind period pumping my 7.7 MS TRXI to get the FMX up on my AFS1000R... then after the wind picked up, gybe, hook in, pump, BANG... My somewhat older 460 mast snapped where where the cam had worn through the carbon just that little bit too much. Now my sail has a spare hole, oh and my leg a 2cm cut. Not that I know how I got that!
MASSIVE thanks to WALT for towing me back to safety, and Remi for helping carry my gear back from the wrong side of the shark nets.
What a day!
