Swindy (10125km): Carlisle St, Safety Bay, WA, AU CA 92, Simmer enduro 5.9, tectonics weed demon 27 Headed to safety bay after work to meet Tardy off seabreeze on the last day of his trip over here. He had rigged a 6.0 on his 92 so I rigged my 5.9 freeride sail as the forcast was looking to build a bit. once out I stopped to adjust harness lines and a tad more outhaul. The set up was feeling amazing in the conditions so I thought I might as well see if I could break my hour record at carlisle street. only the third sail on the carbon art and it feels like ive had it for ages and each time I use the enduro sails I am more and more impressed with them. Three sessions in a row on the 5.9 I had a few ventures out into the sound which was fun in the swell. even though I havent windsurfed much lately today it felt like I could do nothing wrong and had my best sail since last summer. Turns out though I missed the hour record by 0.1 of a knot, I think I may have ended my session a couple of runs short. WHO CARES That was so much FUN the only thing that could have made it better would be to do it on an LT Great to meet Tardy at last for a chin wag and catch up with some of the locals.
Elmo (31413km): JP slalom 71, NP RSR E6 7.8m, Pepe weed 27cm Today I rigged right, ignored the forecast rigged for what was in front of me and all was good in my world. Some nice runs accross the middle and some nice squirts into the corner. Struggled a bit as the board felt a bit sticky at time but that was a minor inconvenience. Wildlidfe was unteresting, bulleyed a 3' stringray which gave me a look around the front, sailed over the same golden ray twice on Pt grey and then sailed over an absolute monster ray near the channel after which I decided that was enough (that and the wind was backing off) Nice evening on the water, BOM was spot on, Seabreeze it's usual (would've been blowing hard at Ritnest)
