Turned up to see a circus on the beach (not sure what a collection of windsurfing clowns are known as - a circus perhaps)
Checked the BOM wind gauges and saw readings for the last hour 15-19 knots on Melville. Asked why no clowns were out -"no wind" was the answer.
Decided to "clown up" and put on the clown suit...advised all and sundry the wind was out in the middle.
It was time to put my clown on the line and back my clown call, so, I rigged for the 16-19 knot reading and tightened my clown suit, adjusted clown smile and planed off beach for about 2km before hitting flat spot just east of 2nd pylon.
Readjusted clown smile to clown frown. Pumped and planed for another 2.5km towards point walter...auto adjusted clown frown to clown smile, however, clown pants were identified as adding to clown wind drag.
Hit flat spot 500m east of Pt Resolution. clown frown reappeared. Managed a dodgy waterstart near several dodgy clowns residences in Dalkeith - while sipping their clowntinis they were probably wondering who the clown was on the windsurfer.
Got to wave and frown at a few clowns on the Dutch pirate ship, as it motored past.
Pumped up the clown pants and managed to get clown smile back to 2nd post, despite the anti-clown weather conditions.
Powered up between the posts and clowned my way to the beach.
Overall - 51% clown smile.
Not a bad day to clown around on the water!
