mikewho (2720km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU. 3pm seabreeze roared in, then slowly died, but came back. 7 bogans, 4 kiters, good arvo, 113/6.4 130/7.8 run out energy, been busy time, happy new year all.
Peter Daish (26030km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU 9.4R8 and 135 L was too much the time I got out there. 5km of sailing re rigged 7.8 Mach 1 with 69cm JP 39 cm select
fantastic sail with Sam and Carl although Carl under powered.
wind out and down throughout the day. below is the ground spikes we dug out of the water about 12 of them in one area. Made me feel alittle sick as we gybe and jump off our boards here contantly. going to do a clean sweep with the chain soon to sort this area out. Could die if someone fell on these. CRAZY! ill put a map in red to where we were. cheers
Full Bogan (42931km): Had a fun sesh today with a lot of drag racing with Pete.
Great catchup and also found a heap of spikes as Daishy has mentioned. Scary to think I sail and gybe in there all the time as the water is super smooth and you get a good gust of wind generally to pull you through the gybe. The spot is about 100m to the west of the bushes on the far bank. Carl was also flying around with his new Ka but I never managed to line up a run with him. Fun day
Captain skip bogan (50090km): Boggy Lake, SA, AU - 12 to 15 Fun arvo with a few bogans. Got there at 1pm and waited for the seabreeze. It finally turned up just sfter 3pm. Daishy tested it on his 9.4 and come in fully lit. It seemed to keep building so decided on the 7m and big board. Made the mistake should have gone the 7.7 but still had a few runs just never fully powered but fun all the same. Ended up with a short walk at the end when the wind dropped. Crazy stuff the spikes Daishy and Sam found - Sam and me had seen them before but WOW so many more. I have sailed Boggy since the early 90's and luckily never impailed on one. Happy new year Bogans - wish a windy year ahead . Patrik 115 / '20 ka 7m race / Black project R375. |
