Andrew (15048km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU || 12-17kt ENE || Exocet RS6/RS4, 7.8OD, 42 JP SL Weed/22 Delta XT Early arvo cruise in a moderate seabreeze with plenty of east in it. More consistant lower down on the bank rather than up in the flats.
AlfaMale (18525km): Foil training at Kurnell for a change. Good to bump in to Wayne, Baz, Conor and a lot of cat's and kites, and a lack of jet-ski's! Tried the 10.0, intending to practice light winds < 8kts but as I rigged it built to 8-10-12 and over the day to 22 in some gusts. Tested my upwind/downwind control as the breeze built, which I needed. Good to know I can now hang on to a 10 in 20knots!!! Couldn't claim that last week Upwind angles seem pretty good (almost 90 degrees) but not especially fast. No alpha, almost all my gybes were downwind runs swinging from DEEP reach port to starboard (practicing race conditions). I found some interesting swell effects at about 150 degrees off the wind, seems there might be a resonant swell line run that you can find between peaks, making some runs VERY smooth. Lots of concentration required today to manage the sail/foil/swell/boats. Good fun, but no need for a slapper today... s https://www.ka72.com/Track/t/416324
