Started out a bit marginal but after 15-20 minutes it filled in to about 14-16. Went for a cruise to say hi to Mikey & Tristan, loads of floating mats of black weed in the middle of the Bay!! Great sail with Des, Shane. Trev and Vando Joined the fun late. Great to see you back out VandoCool

Weed was terrible behind the bank never thought i would say that i need a weed fin.

The new LG if this weeds keeps spreading but no it's just annoying bits and chunks floating around. 

It's caused by the lack of rain making the water temps warm it's heaven for algae blooms the conditions are also good for the bay making the water very clear allowing the turtle weed medows to florish but then the algae grows over it. Last time Jay and I sailed the jetty side we saw lovely green turtle weed up in the shallows we have never seen it so healthy.
