Coal Point, NSW, AU, South 12-18

Stingray, Whisperer and 5.5m

Just Tony and I disappearing in and out of the smoke. Had a visit from a couple of our multi-finned friends, that put an end to water starts.

8-13kts SSW then 12-18kts S then 15-  20kts S Valentine, NSW, AU

7.5m GT Turbo - Rs4 ( 111ltres) - 39cm C3 sting pointer

 85ltre WT - 5.7m Gator - 25cm Maui ultra wave centre fin

Started off pretty light. I could get planing on the big kit if I bore off and pumped but there wasn't enough to plane back upwind so after a few runs I came in to wait to see if it came in. Seemed to kick in a bit and back out with the big kit and well powered. i could hold it but the board was getting too big for the chop and it was very tiring so I rigged the WT.

Initially it was a bit patchy - good in the gusts but underdone otherwise but it gradually built to be quite good.

Saw a fin go by which ensured my waterstarts were pretty quick from then on..LaughingWink

Still trying to straighten my front arm on gybe entry but once I start to think about things the rest of the gybe isn't that good. Undecided I'll have to do some dryland practise..It's hard breaking bad habits..Yell

I was pretty buggered by now and it swung back more SSW and started getting patchy so I called it a day.

Bushfire smoke was bad but at least the lake is pretty quiet again..

Just little old me..and a passing shark..

Pelican Point, WA, AU

Swan River. Went early to get the weaker breeze. Got a bit lost after 2 amazing broad reaches took me almost to the city so had a nice tour of the river. Fine 7\.7 breeze till later when it started to get stronger & the chop frpm boats became huge. Glad I came in as the other guys were going out with 5.5m by the time I unrigged. Then to the tennis night session. CASL109, 7.7, 36 fin.
