5-15kts S- SSW - SW Canton Beach, NSW, AU

7.5m GT Turbo - RS4 ( 111ltres)- 24cm FF

Got down early and the graph was saying 10-15kts SSE..Went for a walk and then decided I better have a sail before the storms came and wrecked it. All along the ranges was covered in a big storm plus out to sea but we were in sunshine.

I wasn't expecting much as SSE but once on the water it was more S than they predicted and after 1 run it started to swing and fill in a bit. Fun!

Not enough wind for bearaways and I could feel the drag in the flat weedy areas due to not enough wind. The wind headed me at both ends so I was working a lot of the time to keep out a bit and didn't stay in the flats a lot.

Happy with the alpha.. it doesn't sound much but I was only doing 19- 20kts on the entry and 16 on the exit..

I had one good stack when I planed into the gybe and hit bottom. The board stopped and I ran ahead of it on the water for about 4 steps..Laughing Pity no one had a camera.

Came in for a bite to eat and Pugs and Wayne had arrived. They bought the rain with them and killed the wind..Frown Wink

Great to get rain! I think the wind started to come in but visiblity wasn't great and it was stinging your eyes so it wasn't very pleasant sailing and everyone packed up. You know it's decent rain when you can wash the gear in the runoff coming down the footpaths..Smile

It was so nice to have a van with a tailgate to pack up under.

Stoked to get 22mm at home..not as much as the coast but enough to help bring things to life make us safe from fires for a while..Cool
