15 occ patch 18kts E then building to 20-22kts ENE Coal Point, NSW, AU - Sometimes I think  Coal seems to generate it's own wind SurprisedUndecided

7.5GT Turbo - Rs4 ( 111ltres ) 43cm makani weedy

 then 85ltre WT - 5.7m gator - 25cms maui ultra wave

Got there early to 15kts of wind. Andrew and Hugh were just setting out on the foils to circumnavigate Pulbah..

Rigged the big kit but only lasted a few runs as I was well powered and it was just too much hard work.

Just picked up a new seat harness and it has a rigid bar which was uncomfortable. I was getting pains in my outside thigh of the backleg going upwind. Not sure if it was because I  could hold down more sail with the new harness and the leg wasn't up to it or something else?

Decided to rig the WT. First hour or so was great in the gusts but too  patchy as usual.

Went above the point and got some blissful runs across to Carey. It  came in at 18kts and although I was only going at 18-19kts I was sproinging over the back of chop with a smile a mile wide..Tongue outTongue outCool

Had a few of those runs and then it kicked up a notch and started getting really good and I was consistently powered. Came in to the point and put the harness lines back and put more rocker and flex in the tail.

I'd been out for almost 3hrs and was pretty stuffed by now so I came in for a short rest and then had one last run. It was just starting to get some good ramps and I was maxed out with the 5.7m.

Managed to have a play on the windswells , do a decent jump ( think I just need to be more powered up) and did my first planing gybe entry which felt great Tongue out until I stuffed the gybe..Undecided

Wish we got a consistent 18-22kts more often..Frown

Should have started sailing at 4pm instead of 2..Undecided
