1548 days ago 1 categories  Fun NNW @ Primbee, NSW, AU. Rocked up just as the wind turned from "simmering" to "sizzling". Rigged the 5.6 but in hindsight the 6.4 would've been a better choice. I love Primbee NNW as the bearaway is so long and the water is relatively flat if you stay in close. The wind is so gusty though that this is usually the limit to your run length. Was able to stitch together a few gusts to almost make up a nauti, would've been a cracker had the wind held till the end. Out with Dezza and Tezza. Wind ended up easing and then turning W as the dust/smoke clouds arrived. It was 42C when I rigged and still 41C when I was de-rigging. Must rate as the hottest 40kt run I've ever done. Gun GSR 5.6, iSonic W49, UFO 24/50/10.
