Short but pretty wild sail at Swan Bay, VIC, AU

Went down late to check out this spot for the first time. Arrived to see solid whitecaps and an array of tiny speed boards/small sails being rigged. Met the legendary Tonster, John and Barry. It was howling over 33 knots. Rigged the 5.5 then watched the guys head out. The wind seemed to drop a touch so rigged the 6.2. By the time I rigged and made the walk out, the guys had come back from the other side of the bay to sail the inner bank as it became more exposed. Wind was a bit too north so it was a deep run, chop was running down the inside of the bank making the run a little sketchy and hard to point back up. On the second run my fin hit the bottom, then a nasty spin out crash, I pulled the pin. If straight East it would have been epic. Thanks to the locals for showing me the ropes at this spot.

Ezza... I'm assuming the boys told you this was swan bay B. Swan bay proper much easier to sail and more user friendly... apologies for anything my teammates may have said.... they're a bit loose at times ... especially Cutter

G'day Red, yes the locals filled me in. Hopefully I'll get to sail Swan Bay "A" next time I'm lucky enough to come down.
