Simmer SCR 6.3, Sonic 85L FF20 + FF22 Speed

Homework late as usual...

Bit of testing of the 22 Speed for comparison purposes. Not hugely powered & didn't fiddle with other settings at all apart from the fin change. Tries to run through similar areas where possible.

Interestingly the 3 best 2sec & 5x10sec were all on the 22. The 22 is polished & the 20 needs a paint with primer & sand again.

Tide did come in a bit whilst I was out & the only time I felt the 22 drag more was coming out of the gybes at the Town end.

Haven't really looked at the cross wind speeds but neither the 20 or 22 broke loose at all.

If I could make a change to the FF I have it would be to slightly round the tip as it does grab on very low tides. May not be an issue in other places.

Firie how is that rubber looking thesedays?

Morts - cheers mate, very keen to have a look. The test we did with 'unfinished' versus finished showed the unfinished fins were not disadvantaged inthe speed department, but were smashed in the upwind performance - that is, the finished/polished fins had far superior upwind angles.

Edit - You're right Jezza, the difference is there - I will be interested to hear your thoughts (strengths + weakness) after another session or two FF20 vs FF22 Speed...thanks for your help Cool
