Grassy Point, CC, TX. Found the local Fangyland imitation - lots of fun! Knee-deep water with weeds growing to about 5 cm below the surface made some nice downwind angles possible that usually would be slow due to running into chop. Not a lot of wind, just enough to get the 3.5 km upwind to Turtle Island. With the low water level and light wind, it did not look worth trying speed runs behind the wall. But being up there made us discover the lovely weed area (top-right corner in the tracks below). FF 99, RB 7.0, Delta XT 24.

Gassy Point, CC. Fun in the newly discovered grassy area, despite being underpowered. Like the Speed Demon 19 today, easy to go upwind even underpowered.

So did you surprise any local sailors, by where you were sailing? Hope it works just as well with stronger wind.
