BoM once again over promised and under delivered. Joe, Michael,Jim, and Guy were on the water before me and I think we all put too much faith in the forecast and ended up being under done. Just in case there was a chance the breeze would fill in, Pacey, thankfully a late arrival, killed off the last gasp with his usual efficiency.

Guy smashed uphill on my old Bic and production FF24 and looked to be doing a pretty good job of things, whereas I was working like a toilet paper re-stocker just to inch up to the western end. Just too underpowered to get enough flow over my fin to generate the lift. Too make things worse, I had forgotten to check whether the really annoying mast head plug thingy on the Koncept had self inserted and seated into the mast tip. Of course it hadn’t, so immediately after catching Guy having a nap in the water, my awesome power gybe was disrupted by my un-awesome sail attempting to accomplish a neat sail drop on to my boom, with accompany trudge through the mud into shore to jerry rig the whole palaver to get home again.

But once again I think the two of us timed it to get a good sail, even if we missed the good stuff right at the start. Top Ten Fangy Bro session again :-)

Bugger, should have done another 3km, knew I needed 30 something, but too stuffed to make sure of it.

Light wind cruisey sail with Joe and Vic, used the 6.6 koncept, 65cm board and 21cm deltoid. I was doubtful about this at the start, wind looked too strong, but annemometer was persistent in disagreeing with my impression, so did what it said. I wasn't alone in this, both Joe and Vic thought it looked stronger, and when I left Strop was going out on a 7.0

Here's the tracks.

I've finally marked where I lost the motion a couple of months ago, probably not much chance of finding it now, but if there's another lightwind day, I'll have a go
